Description
2 mm diameter tapioca pearls, also known as Japanese or Asian pearls. Widely used in traditional Asian cuisine and increasingly in modern Western gastronomy. One of their properties is to absorb the liquid aroma in which they are prepared, becoming a very versatile ingredient. When boiled they obtain a soft, jelly-like texture and a translucent color. May contain SOY, EGG, PEANUT, MILK, WHEAT, SESAME seeds, CELERY, MUSTARD and SULFITE particles.Just like tapioca starch, the pearls are thickeners, so they are also used in puddings, soups; used in Taiwanese traditional bubble tea.
